I was recently asked if I were to win the lottery what would I do differently – truly, I would continue to do this job that I love. I have the opportunity on a day-to-day basis to work with amazing young people, many who are yet to see just how amazing they are.
I am a Mum of three, with two adult sons and my, now, 7-year-old daughter – who has been gifted a parent with a little hindsight (thanks to her older brothers)! We enjoy living in West Sussex and spend much of our free-time walking in the beautiful countryside with our playful Cockapoo dog, Molly.
I am passionate about working with children and teenagers and helping them to become the best versions of themselves. I have spent almost 30 years (I started young!) working with children, teens and young adults in both volunteer and professional roles. This has included providing supportive, transitional homes for teenagers who were not yet ready to live independently, working as a Learning Mentor in Primary Schools and working as a Secondary School Drama Teacher. Each of these roles provided me with the opportunity to engage in a positive and supportive way and help these young people to understand that they could be more: more confident, more creative, more focused – and that they could achieve more.
After completing my training in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, I am proud to be part of The Youth Fairy team, based in Burgess Hill and online.
I am fully insured, have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate and I am a member of the following professional bodies:
- National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP)
- National Council For Hypnotherapy (NCH)
- Association For Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)
- Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
